That loan for the most part, does not exist.. FHA construction loans are available, but the challenge is finding a lender willing to do one.. and 99.99% of them do not.. As far as 203K loans.. yes, this loan is readily available.. and finding a lender to do one shouldn't be difficult.. (we offer them) but this is a rehab loan.. not a loan used for new construction..I'm a preferred Lender with Arizona and California being my primary markets. Stop looking for a lender, and start looking for a Loan Officer. Look for someone at a mortgage brokerage, which means they are probably independently licensed versus unlicensed, and look for someone with an NMLS number less than about 350,000. This means the person has been a Loan Officer at least 10-years. Look for someone in your own area. Finally, stay as far away as possible from big banks and out state internet lenders. Good luck.
