Looking for a HELOC with a 3 year old bankruptcy

I don't have any programs, but I would check with a local credit union called Credit One to see if they can assist you. They've helped a few of my clients.

That's going to be tough.. any type of 2nd position lien with a 3 year old BK is going to be near impossible to get.. your only hope would be a local community bank or credit union.. don't even bother with the "Big 4" banks.. it's an automatic turn down.. You could however do a cash out refinance using FHA... they will go to up to 85% LTV.. or if you wait a year, you can go conventional financing and if your loan to value is below 80% , you wont have to pay mortgage insurance..
