FHA does not have a minimum trade line requirement, but many lenders add overlays to basic FHA guidelines that may add minimum trade line requirements. More info needed.. There are a lot of lenders out there that do have a minimum trade line requirement.. but if you don't have a credit score, then your file must be manually underwritten and they will need to use alternative credit references to build a credit profile for you.. This is an FHA guideline.. not an overlay.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
