Lenders, HARP and LPMI

I am upsidedown in my mortgage and qualifiy for HARP refinancing. However, I have LPMI through RMIC and I cannot find a lender that will refinance the loan. Are there any lenders that will take on a refinance with LPMI? We have good incomes and excellent credit--just a high interest rate on our mortgage. We live in North Carolina and our current company is Provident Funding (Not participating in HARP).Thanks. by efiriz_346_130 from Wilmington, North Carolina. Jun 17th 2012 Reply

Having LPMI is NOT difficult to transfer... it's just a phone call for the lender/title company.. However your problem is the company.. RMIC. Their company has been suspended because their reserves fell below the minimum required for North Carolina.. So your mortgage qualifies, your home qualifies, but your MI is not qualified... (See Announcement SEL-2011-07). Help might be on the horizon though.. HARP 3.0 is another program that President Obama has talked about.. Nothing has been presented to congress, so there are no details yet, but it supposed to help all those who haven't qualified under all the other existing programs.. Stay tuned!! . I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
