From my knowledge there is not an age limit. I think that would go against ECOA.

Yes.. There are minimums, but no maximums.. you have to be at least 18 years of age to apply, but more than likely, you wouldn't get approved if you were only 18.. lenders require you have sufficient income and support that income with 2 years filed federal tax returns.. at 18, you probably don't have enough work experience to qualify.. as far as the maximum age, there isn't one.. but if your 62 or older, you have additional options such as a reverse mortgage.. if you want to know for sure what you would qualify for, you should try contacting a LOCAL mortgage broker and apply with them. Once they see your complete loan profile, they will be better equipped to advise you properly. Also, by applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with many lenders with each one offering a different type of lending program. This is unlike the local bank which typically only has a few lending programs. The more lenders, the more lending options, and the more likely your scenario will be accepted.. Plus, the broker is experienced in seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario, and he has lower overhead which typically results in lower rates and fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Yes, and no. You need to be of legal age to enter into a contract (so at least 18-years old). but there is no limit on the other end. I've been lending for over 20-years, and I've done multiple loans for people in their 70's. For loans in MN, WI, and SD. Visit me at www.MortgagesUnlimited.biz

You just need to be of legal age to sign a legal document. 18 seems to be the right minimum age. If you are 150+++, no issues at all.
