No, you don't pay more to get a HARP loan. Most of the time the rates are the same and sometimes even slightly better. Best wishes, Sean
The only fee that might be considered "Special" would be the Appraisal waiver fee.. if the Automated Underwriting System says that no appraisal is necessary, then rather than paying $400 - $500 for an appraisal, the fee is reduced to $75. Other than that, all other fees would not be any different than a non HARP refinance.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona.
