Is there a Ladybird deed available in minnesota and how does it work?

Is the Ladybird deed available in Minnesota?? I was told that the house my mom owns will be taken away in the event of her passing. We're trying to rent it from her and put the money towards the copay at the nursing home she is currently staying at. I talked to social services and they said if we rent the house the copay goes up because it is considered income. We are planning on moving in there at the end of the month. God forbid she passes they said they will take the home. Please help. by TashaWilson from , . Aug 10th 2009 Reply

Ladybird deed is not available in Minnesota. This deed is legal only in Ohio, California, Florida, Texas, and Kansas. If she is on Medicaid, then after her death the property would be taken away in order to recover the payments.
