You can have more than one VA loan, but you cannot exceed your entitlement.. if you order a VA eligibility certificate, you should have a better idea of how much home you can purchase.. but if you want your full eligibility restored, the current VA loan would have to be paid off.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Unless something has changed that I'm not aware of..... If your spouse was awarded the property, your entitlement cannot be restored unless or until your spouse refinances the property an/or pays off the VA loan in full or if your spouse is a veteran as well she could get a new VA loan paying of your current VA loan on that property. If I can answer any add'l questions, I'd be happy to help. Kimberly Lawson, Ohio Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. Contact and licensing information can be found on my profile.

it depends on the price of the new home and how much remaining entitlement you will have, and you may need a legal separation agreement as well. My recommendation is to see if she can refinance the home into her own name - that is cleanest and is the only way to totally remove you from any obligation on that mortgage.

You will not be able to do another VA loan while you still have this one-see if your wife can refinance the house in her name. If not, check with a local community bank and see if there are program's available for you in Ohio. You will need afully executed separation agreement.
