in kansas...what are the LTV maximums on conventional loans

Nationwide, conventional financing allows for 97% LTV. This is a Fannie Mae guideline, but Fannie Mae is not a bank, they are a clearing house for banks to sell off their mortgages... the lenders, or those with the $$$, will have their own set of guidelines above and beyond conforming.. it's these overlays that might prohibit the higher LTV's... .. Right now the maximum LTV is 97%, but on November 16, 2013 that will be reduced to 95%
