I was recently added to the title on a property that my family owns as a rental. How long do I have to wait before I can refinance the loan? The property is in CO.

Great morning to you! My name is Kay and I am a mortgage professional located in Colorado. 720-670-0124. Are you wanting to just do a standard rate & term refinance or a Cashout?

If you were added, then that means the other family members are still on title.. in this scenario, you can refinance immediately, but understand that in this scenario, all who wish to remain on title will need to apply for the loan. If other family members were removed and you are the only one on title, then that's a transfer of ownership, and under this scenario, you would need to wait 6 months.. the same would apply if you're trying to refinance in your name only (removing anyone else from title). I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
