Please do yourself a huge favor and talk to a Housing Counselor (you can find a local one by Google searching HUD Approved Housing Counselors). You need to find out why your score is low. There are programs that allow low scores, but you have to meet a set of criteria that is difficult. The reasons your score is low, will likely also not allow you to qualify for the low score lenders. And if you do qualify, you will not have favorable terms. Fix the problem before you add to it, by buying a home.
