There may be a few companies that could provide you with a mortgage loan at that credit score level, but you will be paying a higher rate for your loan, and possibly required to put more money down.I would suggest contacting a local, licensed (not bank) mortgage loan officer and working with them to get your credit score up over 600 or 620, where you will be able to get slightly better rates.
The quick answer is maybe. There are a very small number of lenders that will work with that bad of a credit score... But score alone does not an approval make. Many time there is something on the credit report which is causing the low score that will get you denied. All you can do is apply with a company that will go that low, and see what they say. Good Luck
It's possible, but not without scrutiny. There are lenders who will lend to borrowers with low scores.. some will go down to as low as 500, but it's all the other guidelines that make it difficult. The real question is "Why?" why is your score so low.. BK, Foreclosure, Short Sale, Judgment, Unpaid Student Loans, etc.. all of these issues can cause a denial even if your credit score was 740. ..
