Give me a call. Many programs do not allow for a streamline once a loan has been modified. The real question is how was it modified, and does the modification you received disqualify you or not. Once I have more details about exactly what you did, I'll be in a better position to help you determine if you can take advantage of today's great rates. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in California and Arizona ~ www.LoansA2z.com 888-889-9950

My FHA loan with Citibank was modified in October 2008. As part of the process during the trial period before the modification became permanent, they recorded my payments as late for July, August and September of 2008. I have been current on my loan ever since. My credit score is now 710 and I was looking to do a FHA streamline refinance for my mortgage from my current interest rate of 5% to the current market rate to save a little money monthly. I have heard that most lenders will not do a streamline refinance because of FHA guidelines and/or lender guidelines in regards to a loan that has been modified. With good credit and no late payments since Oct 2008 are their any lenders who will do an FHA streamline refinance on a modified loan and if so who? Is anyone else facing this same issue?
