too much info missing.. For the most part, you cannot have 2 VA loans at the same time.. so are you selling your current home and then purchasing another?? If so, then you should have no problems assuming your paid off your loan in full.. But, a VA loan might not be your best option 2nd time around.. if your not disabled, then you have to pay the VA funding fee, however the fee is higher on your 2nd use, and can be as high as 3.3%.. if you have 20% down, you're better off using a conventional loan product (assuming you qualify). I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Hello! This depends on several factors not addressed here----- What will be the disposition of the current home and mortgage among other things. In general, except under very limited circumstances, you can't have two VA loans atthe same time. If you would like to go over your situation in more detail or simpply want advice, please feel free to contact me at any time. Pulling from several previous posters, there is no difference regarding the financing UNLESS you are buying in a community property state. But there aren't any of these particularly close to you so you're fine unless you're moving away somewhere. It may or may not be smart or possible to have one or both of you on the loan, but this decision will be the same whether you buy before or after. All that being said, there are some differences in the way that you should title the property from an estate perspective. However, this can generally be amended after you are married if necessary. I am always availabale for further consultation if desired.... Good Luck and Congratulations on the nuptials! Email me at robhanson@emortgagegroup.com or call directly at 301-651-7822. Please leave a voicemail if I am unable to pick up and I will return the call immediately.

Short answer: you have to pay off the first VA loan to get a new one, unless you still live in the home, then it would be a refinance.
