I have been renting since, but am looking to buy again in the next 6 months - a year. Can take advantage of first time home buyer programs? Or is that once in a lifetime? by kaitlynsmama6655 from North Las Vegas, Nevada. Aug 21st 2015
Yes, you are considered a first time home buyer after 3 years.
Yes you would be considered a first time buyer once again and be eligible for the down payment assistance and grants that exist. Let's talk more if you want to get preapproved and find out which programs you're eligible for. Aundrea 702-326-7866
In general, a first time home-buyer is defined as not owning a home in the last 3 years so you should be fine. Brad
We have the Nevada Home is Possible grant program which does not exclude any buyers. As long as you intend to occupy, do not have a household income of $ 95,500, and have a score of 640 or above you have a good chance of qualifying for the grant. As others have stated.. if you have not owned a home for the past 3 years, then you would be considered a first time home buyer.. but, my suggestion is to deal only with a local mortgage broker.. they should be familiar with any local grant programs for FTHB's.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
