I am a disabled vet. I want to get a refi VA loan. Credit score under 600. Can anyone help me get a loan?? by don_te_416_784 from Bastrop, Texas. Apr 9th 2012
The loan that you seek is VA Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan (VA IRRRL). Based on the fact that you reside in Texas, make sure to work with a Texas-based lender who is well versed in Texas state law and VA Guaranteed Home Loans. The best individual that I know to help you is John Cannata of Supreme Lending. You can call him directly at 214-728-0449. Happy Monday!

Hello Don,Yes, I have VA rate and term loans down to a 530 score. I will have to take a look at your credit profile and make sure that you meet the other guidelines, so the next logical step would be to go to my website at www.TexasLenderOnline.com and do the full application. I am located in Austin, and will be happy to help!Eric BlossmanSouthwestFundingNMLS #211144eblossman@southwestfunding.com512-788-2502www.TexasLenderOnline.com
As you can see from the responses, what you are looking for exists. I agree that you should be using someone local that knows and understands VA loans and Texas lending laws. This would be a Licensed Mortgage Banker/Broker. Employees of the big banks and national mortgage mills are not licensed, they get hired and then their employer registers them with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). A Local Mortgage Banker/Broker is required to attend at least 20 hours of training and pass not one, but two test to make sure they understand State and Federal laws regarding Mortgage Lending. Once they past the tests, they undergo an extensive background check before they are allowed to work for a consumer to arrange a mortgage. Make sure you check out your selected Mortgage Originator at the National Mortgage Licensing System at www.NMLSConsumerAccess.org ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com
