How many times does a mortgage broker hit your credit vs Bank, vs Credit Union? Can I chose to apply at all of them?

We only pull one time and the credit report is good for up to 120 days. We do, however, do a "credit refresh" within 10 days of closing to make sure that you haven't gone out and shopped for furniture, vehicle or anything else that would affect your debt-to-income ratios. Big banks for some reason like to pull credit once a month or more. I had a customer who got his credit pulled 10 times in a 2 month period by the same BIG bank, and just drove down his scores! If I have a credit score we can use....I can assure you I would not pull it again!! I lend all over Texas - you can reach me at 713-569-0025 - look forward to hearing from you. Mary

Depending on the circumstances, a credit report pulled by your lender is good for up to 120 days, but most lenders will want a new report if it goes over 90.. Any "Mortgage" related inquiries within a 30 day period will only have the impact of "One Credit Inquiry" when it comes to your overall credit scores.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
