It's never too early. It is always best to get pre-approved prior to finding a home. One, the listing agent and the seller will want to know you are pre-approved. Two, you will want to make sure for yourself that you are pre-approved and will not have any issues once you make an offer. It is also good to know exactly how much you can afford prior to looking. That way you also move forward with the right expectations. If you would like to get pre-approved you can call me at 303-521-7169 or visit www.mylendersean.com. However, no matter what you choose to do, make sure you get pre-approved first. Best wishes, Sean
I would highly recommend getting pre-approved now. I agree with Sean that it is never to early to start the process. The process is simple and can be done over the phone in a matter of minutes. It typically will take about 10 to 15 minutes. In addition, we will need your income documents and asset documents to determine your eligibility. Feel free to reach out to me at 303-501-1401. Thanks and have a great day!
As a licensed loan officer and licensed real estate agent, it's kind of like what came first, the chicken of the egg. Most people like to look at houses first because it is fun and entertaining. You should start with getting pre approved. You want to make sure you qualify the the house you end up finding. What sense does it make looking at houses you can't afford? Besides, if you haven't been on top of your credit report, you want to make sure your scores are good and that there is nothing on the report that would be hindering your ability to buy. I've seen it happen more times that I care to, people "forgot" about something on their credit report and it comes back to bit them later. Call a local mortgage professional and get pre qualified first.
