How does a foreign national loan work for buying a home here in US?

I live with relatives here and attend ASU as an international student with F1-Visa. My uncle is willing to co-sign if possible by YossiArditiASU_25590 from Tempe, Arizona. Oct 21st 2013 Reply

Yossi,I unfortunately do not have a program for Foreign Nationals, but I do know someone who does. Please email me directly at kanderson@bncnationalbank.com and I will forward you his contact information. Thanks,Kirk

A non US Citizen needs to show continuation of employment for at least 3 years. If you are a Student on an F-1, I'm thinking you can't work, thus can't show income. If your uncle is willing to help you, your best bet is for him to buy a home as an investment property meaning putting 20% down. If you stay in the states after school, with the appropriate continuance of income criteria met, you can move the property and mortgage to your name. Talk to a local lender that can talk to you and your uncle in detail your specific information.

Unfortunatley you will not be able to purchase using any type of conforming loans... there might be some portfolio or private money loans you might be able to do, but the terms are not going to be that attractive.. Your uncle could purchase a home as an investor (20% down), and let you live in it until you can qualify on your own.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
