The easiest thing to do would be to contact a local mortgage broker and apply with them.. they will be able to look up your property address and loan details and let you know if you would qualify for a HARP refinance. You could go to Fannie Mae's or Freddie Mac's websites and look it up yourself, but the software is really tricky.. If you put Ave. vs. Avenue, or St. vs. Street, or N. vs. North.. it could come back saying your property does not qualify, when in fact it does.. so it's best to let a professional look it up for you.. Nothing has changed as far as the date which your loan must have been initiated by to qualify, so that date still is not within the qualifying range, but values have gone up substantially since 2009.. It's possible you can refinance without the necessity of HARP.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Give it a try. Google "does fannie mae own my home" and "does Freddie mac own my home". Type in the info, and submit it and see what you get. Like William says, type in variations of your address. Best place to start on the address, is go to www.usps.com and do a zip code look up of your address and use that one.
