Hello, I live in Washington and looking to get a loan. Do both my spouse and i have to be on the loan? She has poor credit and I don't want that to effect the loan.

The short answer is no.. she doesn't have to be on the loan.. but if you need her income to qualify, then you would need to add her.. The loan pricing is based on the lowest mid score of all borrowers.. so if she has bad credit, then it could affect the interest rate or even the eligibility if it's really low.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. Hey! I grew up in Quincy! Wow...In response to your inquiry, no, she does not have to be on the loan. A few things on that though... Washington is a community property state and depending on the loan, you may have to include her debt. And do you need her income to qualify for the home? Please feel free to contact me directly. I am located in Walla Walla now, but Quincy is still on my radar. You can reach me at (509) 301-1661. Or by email at BobbieJo@BobbieJoHaggard.com
