Do I qualify for a harp refinance with a 675 credit score? by shaura_619_774 from Anaheim, California. Jun 4th 2012
Your loan must be owned by Freddie or Fannie, and have been initiated prior to June 1st, 2009. With a 675 credit score, it might not work, but the only way to know for sure is to apply... DO NOT USE YOUR CURRENT LOAN SERVICER!!... The best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL mortgage broker, not the local "Big" bank, and certainly not one of those 50 states internet lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
yes you can do a HARP loan with a 675 credit score. You do need to qualify for the loan and it does need to be owned by Fannie or Freddie currently. I am in Northern CA and I can help you no matter what your house value is and many times we do not need to get an appraisal.
hi: If your loan is owned by Fannie or Freddie, we can certainly do a look up to verify that..If it is one of them just mentioned, then we can go thru the other requirements.. Please give me a call to discuss so I may go over the guidelines etc for this type of program. Your loan must have been sold to Fannie/Freddie prior to June 29, 2009 to qualify for this program as a start. your fico score should be just fine so long as your loan is still owned by Fannie Mae and no mortgage late during the past six months. However you still have to qualify based on your income.. we have a local office here in santa ana, please feel free to come by in person or give me a call at 877-223-3105 ext. 6440 thank you ..
As long as your current loan is HARP eligible, your score will not prevent you from obtaining a new loan. Contact a local Mortgage Banker / Broker. DON'T use one of the big banks, DON'T use one of the big national Mortgage factories, and DON'T use the people you are currently making payments to. Your local or regional Mortgage Banker/Broker is better equipped to handle the HARP program and will have access to many more investors so you get the best deal possible. I not yet licensed in CA, so I can't help you. Whomever you choose, make sure you check them out at the National Mortgage Licensing System at www.NMLSConsumerAccess.org ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com 888-889-9950

Your 675 FICO score is fine for a HARP 2 loan. There are 2 very important criteria you must meet to have an opportunity to take advantage of this exceptional loan program. 1st, your existing loan has to have originated before June 1, 2009. 2nd, it has to have been purchased by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Go to the following web sites to find out. They are self explanatory.http://www.fanniemae.com/loanlookup/ http://www.freddiemac.com/.I am currently doing HARP 2 loan for many clients, 1 whose FICO score is 672. His interest rate is being lowered from 6.125% to 4.125%, and he will be saving over $500/mo.If you meet the 2 criteria above, give me a call 16/7, or email me your phone number so I can call you, and I'll be happy to walk you through the process. Credit scores are only one part of the loan approval process. Contact a local licensed loan officer to discuss your overall situation and qualifications. How do you know if your loan officer is licensed? Go to www.NMLSconsumerAcess.org. Type in their name or NMLS number. Look at the end of their information page. If it says "Federal Mortgage Loan Originator", they DO NOT have a license. Do NOT work with them.
Yes, your score is high enought
call a local mortgage broker from our panel and have them run DU or LP, if of course you have a Harp 2 eligible property
