If you are 4 months behind on your mortgage you are going to have to either catch those up, plus fees and interest, or do a work out like a forebearance. You can't be behind like that and refinance with HARP...go to http://www.makinghomeaffordable.gov/programs/lower-rates/Pages/harp.aspx and you can read all about the qualifications for yourself.

if you checked the qualifications for HARP, you would have seen that you do NOT qualify if your behind on your payments... and because your actually 120 days behind, ever lending program out there will consider that the same as if you had a foreclosure.. You will have to wait 3 years minimum from the time you bring your payments current before you would qualify for a mortgage again.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
