Will missing credit card payments affect my HARP eligibility? I've missed a few and would like to make them up somehow if possible by RBalbo_330_924 from Latham, New York. Sep 5th 2012
Ho many have you missed and how recently? If your score is below 620 then you will have problems but your credit score is not the only thing that factors into qualifying, several other factors come into play.
Will depend on how your credit score was impacted by the lates. I do HARP loans in NY. Send me an email at PBotros@OmegaLoans.net and will be more than happy to do a free analysis of your situation.
HARP eligibility is a very sensitive loan product.. if you have currently delinquent payments on anything, you won't get approved.. if you have low credit scores, but little to no reserves, you won't get approved, if you have a high Loan to Value (LTV) and low credit score, you won't get approved.. Even though the guidelines state "No Credit Score Required".. it is, and if it's low, you will not get approved.. Work on getting your credit fixed so you can get your score raised.. Then apply.. HARP approvals are pretty finicky. It is very likely that the late payments are going to reduce your credit profile preventing you from qualifying. Get them current and keep them there and then try for the HARP. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z team of NOVA Home Loans ~ NMLS 40586 ~ www.LoansA2z.com 888-889-9950
Not necessarily. It depends how low your credit score has dropped.
they do look at the overall credit file..... first , are you a fannie or a freddie loan? freddie mac is a lot tougher on the credti scores..for every credit card 30 day late, it can count 3 points per credit card , per credit agency, hence,, 1 30 day late, if all 3 agencies report, that is 9 points.... linda yourloanpartnerforlife@live.com you can email me with any questions...
