Could be good idea to refinance and combine your first mortgage (if you have one) with the second mortgage if it is a HELOC. If you are going thru a divorce then you have to wait to refinance when you have the divorce approved by the judge. As long as you refinance your first and second, you can have your wife taken of the loan/title as long as she is in agreement and you can qualify for the loan.
