My home was deeded to me and I want to refinance to take out cash. What do I need and what questions should I ask when looking for a loan officer? by sakusha34 from Independence, Louisiana. Feb 23rd 2021 Reply

You want to work with a Mortgage Broker that is licensed in your state. Your best bet is to select someone with a low NMLS number. The lower the number, the longer the Loan officer has been licensed, meaning they have more experience than a loan officer with a higher number. If this is your first loan, you want an experienced hand to guide you. Stay away from the big banks and the national Mortgage companies that do heavy tv advertising. These companies generally look out for themselves and not you. Most of their loan officers are really nothing more than order takers and fail to provide guidance. Although I am not personally licensed in LA, my company is. I'd be happy to connect you with a well-qualified, experienced loan officer to help you. Just give me a call. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in AZ, CA, GA, IL, OR & WA... In fact, NEXA is licensed in all states except MA and NY and we are pending approval in VA, so give us a call. ~ www.ApplyYes.com 480-889-9000.

This is no big deal. Simply contact a local mortgage broker in your area to get an application going. They will direct the flow of what you need, and answer any questions you have. I lend in MN WI IA SD ND. Find me at FirstTimeHomeBuyer-MN.com - Cambria Mortgage, NMLS 274132
