I am the surviving spouse of a Veteran. I am 28, have never worked for an employer and the last 1.5 years I have owned a hair salon in Bakersfield, CA; I grossed $78k last year and all my taxes are up to date. Will I be able to use my husbands VA benefit that roll over to me, without stated income? by JenniferDMello_To... from Long Beach, California. Apr 18th 2018
More info needed.. First, if you have remarried, then no.. the benefits are no longer available to you.. 2nd, if you gross $78K.. then we would need to look at your tax returns to determine what your Adjusted Gross Income is.. your business can bring in a million dollars a year, but if you write off $990K then, for loan qualifying purposes, you only make $10K per year.. Also, lenders require a 2 year Self Employed work history, so being 1.5 years as SE.. then there's that obstacle, but we can typically work around that.. again, we need more info.. Feel free to reach out to me, i'd be glad to look at your complete loan scenario.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893
