FHA Appraisal

I'm trying to get a fha loan for a house that has a high voltage telephone pole 2 feet from the end of the driveway. Also the lines run parallel with the driveway to the pole at the end of the property. Will that hurt my chances for the fha loan. by timmalchow327 from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jul 14th 2015 Reply

We actually just had a case like this for a power line being too close to the property. Xcel Energy actually referred us to their engineering group to back their claim for safety. You will probably be called out for this and your loan officer may need to work with your telephone company to see if they could produce an engineering report, insuring the safety of the property and residents. It's all about safety....which, I'm sure you would be concerned with as well.

Hi Tim,That will probably make getting a FHA loan difficult. We just had this scenario in Milwaukee and the loan was switched to a conventional loan. Would you like to talk to see if I can make a conventional loan work for you? Ritchie@trustprovidence.com in Brookfield 262-754-3331
