Fastest way to get my name off multiple properties

My brother and I obtained 4 properties after my mothers passing.. I recently have been sued for a large sum of money. We have had a few of the properties recently on the market and now my fear is there will be a lean put on them. What can I do to get my name off them? by SydneyPorter2234 from Los Angeles, California. Jun 15th 2010 Reply

Go to a local title company and ask them to perform a quit claim deed to take your name off of the title.

As Colorado lender made reference to...you can have yourself removed from title on these properties unless you have have loans against those properties in which the properties would need to be refinanced out of your name in order to remove you from title.

Talk to a Real Estate Attorney..... Much too important to rely on non-legal resources. .... Happy funding, Rudi
