Depending on your qualifications will depend on what type of loan program that you can get approved for. As long as you qualify then you can definitely get a Home Equity Line of Credit. But try and find a lender that can lock in your rate for 3 to 5 years. There is a bank in Colorado that has a Home Equity loan that is fixed for first 5 years at 4.25% They do not lend outside of Colorado but you may be able to find a lender in GA.
This would be considered a "cash out" refinance. A Home Equity Line of Credit may serve your needs better, and the closing costs would be MUCH less.Just a thought!
