do sheriff sale purchases affect credit report?
if my house is sold at a sheriff sale will the foreclosure stay on my credit report??

Yes the Sheriff sale is just a form of foreclosure that we have to use here in Oregon. You will have a foreclosed status on that trade line on your credit report with the last reporting date from the date that title transfers and the trade line is closed out.
