Yes and No.. For FHA financing, medical collections will be ignored, however, you still have to have acceptable credit scores.. if you have a multitude of medical collections and nothing good on your report, you might not have a high enough score to meet minimum lending standards.. For conventional, they will also ignore medical collections, but conventional financing requires a much higher credit score than FHA. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. The collections will be a factor in your credit score, but if that is the only thing on your credit that is negative it should not be an issue with us for Conventional, FHA, or VA financing.
