Disabled Status Change

Hello - I have been retired Army veteran for 8 years. in June i was diagnosed with PTSD and determined 80% disabled due to my manic episodes and heavy medications. I am paying VA fees on my VA loan and I wanted to know if I have to refinance to have these fees adjusted or removed, now that I am more than 15% disabled. Thank you for the information all. by bethanyadams_sams286 from Red Rock, Arizona. Jul 23rd 2018 Reply

Hello Bethany.. Here at LendUS, we have a high admiration for our military veterans, especially those who have incurred disabilities as a result of their service, so on behalf of RPM mortgage , Thank you for your service and sacrifice. In regards to your question, with VA financing, there are no monthly fee's.... VA only charges an upfront funding fee.. but with a disabled vet, the fee is 100% waived.. So, if you decide to refinance or purchase another home using VA financing, the VA fee would be 100% waived. I'm here locally, and would be happy to assist.. let me know, I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / LendUS, NMLS 1938/ AZMB0121893

Thank you for your service. There is nothing to change or have adjusted. The only thing that your VA disability has an effect on is the VA funding fee, which is charged at the time a loan is make. On your NEXT VA loan, the funding fee would be waived for any VA related disability over 10%. For VA loans in MN, WI, and SD, visit me at www.VAMortgageMN.com
