Hi Kathleen, I agree with the other poster. It is possible to have two VA loans at once depending on the amount of entitlement you have left. I have actually written a blog on the subject here if you want more information: http://arizonamortgagepro.blogspot.com/2014/01/multiple-va-loans-to-same-borrower.html Best of luck!

It is technically possible, but not realistic in most cases to have two VA loans at one time. Almost without fail, most people would need to refinance the existing house into some other type of loan in order to use a VA loan on the new house. www.VA-IRRRL-Loan-MN.com

It depends on your Va entitlement. However it will easier to refinance the current mortgage into any type of loan.

Hi Kathleen, yes you can refinance your home into a conventional or FHA if you qualify. But if you plan to immediately use the VA eligibility to buy a home, the refinance would need to be an investment loan because you don't intend on living there.....Your other option is to see how much eligibility you have left, if any that you can use towards a 2nd VA loan. Check out John Moran's information on this subject as it does cover how it works. Best wishes, Sean
