Typically, if your home is smaller and other homes in the area are bigger, then you do get a boost in your value by being in close proximity to the larger, higher priced homes. however this isn't allays true. Certain parts of the country have subdivisions where all the homes were built by the same builder with small variances in square footage, elevations and lay outs.. but in general, they are all in relatively close value to each other.. other areas in the country, you can have a $2M mansion, next to a double wide trailer home.. (Kingman AZ for example).. IF your neighborhood is a mix of large and small homes, and your home compares to the newly built home, then it's likely to give you a small boost.
