If the rental property is a multi family unit and you plan to live in one unit. At this time one are unable to use VA benefits to purchase a stand alone rental property. I am able to help borrower(s) nationwide purchase fix and flip properties or single rental properties.

Generally the answer is no. VA loans are owner occupied only. But if you are buying a multi-unit property, like a duplex, as long as you live in one of the units, they YES, you can buy that property with a VA loan. I offer VA loans in MN, WI, and SD, and can be reached at VAMortgageMN.com (NMLS274132)
