The answer is No. The co-borrower is responsible for the loan
sorry I.price77117...they are pretty much one and the same...our fha back ratios can go pretty high...why do you think you need a co-signer ?
The co borrower will be obligated on the mortgage just as the main borrower
No... For FHA, if you're on the loan, you're on the mortgage.. and vise versa.. Also understand that a co-signer does not help if you have bad credit.. only if you have limited income. Loans are priced and eligible based on the LOWEST mid score of ALL borrowers.. So if Mom and Dad co-sign for Son and Daughter in law, and 3 of the 4 have 750 credit scores, and one has 580, then the loan will be based on the 580 borrower..
