Can I transfer my appraisal from a VA loan to a HELOC?

I would say that there are certain lenders who provide HELOC services that may accept your recent VA appraisal if it is less than 120 days old.

Humm.. Yes, and no.. typically, HELOC's do not charge for an appraisal... in fact, they typically don't do an appraisal.. they might do a "Drive by" Appraisal,, but most likely, they will use an "automated valuation model" (AVM).. Think of Zillow or Trulia, but more accurate.. If your appraisal is less than 120 days old, they might look at it for consideration, but in all reality it's probably not necessary. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets.
