Sure thing Deborah, you just need to qualify on your own and he will need to sign the title to the home over to you or sign the mortgage to allow it to be recorded - which does not make him obligated on the note (loan).

Yes as long as you qualify by yourself of course. And he will have to be aware of this happening since he will need to sign some forms too. I would speak with a local loan officer and have them present you a couple of options to review. Best wishes, Sean
