First off We would have to find out if your loan is eligible under the HARP program by either having a Fannie or Freddie Mac Loan. Did you reaffirm your mortgage with the BK?
Possibly.. for HARP refi's, the guidelines ignore the mandatory waiting periods associated with BK's, Foreclosures & Short sales.. that being said, you would need to have strong compensating factors for the automated underwriting system to approve you.. and for your property to be eligible, it must be currently owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.. Also, guidelines do not require your mortgage be reaffirmed after the BK, but some lenders do.. so you need to shop around.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona.
