Can I live in a business zoned property?

I'm looking into buying a property zoned for business but the current owner says that I can live in it too. How can I find out? by lamprecht148 from Bausman, Pennsylvania. Sep 15th 2020 Reply

Of course you can live in a commercial zoned property as long as it meets building codes for occupancy. I know of many businesses where the owner operates a commercial small manufacturing business and lives in an apartment on the second floor of the building. Contact me directly if I can help further. The only people that can answer your question accurately would be the local building or zoning department for the City or County the property is located. I would not accept the word of the seller. He may not really know. Also, even he were to tell you that 'I have lived her for the last five years, only means that he may not have been caught living there illegally. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in Arizona, California, Georgia, Oregon, and Washington.
