If you meet the other guidelines such as income, assets, employment, etc. You should be able to qualify for conventional or FHA mortgage. We lend down to a 530 middle score in some cases. Let's discuss your loan scenario in more detail. Contact me at 800 315 8803. My name is Jamie and I have been in the mortgage business since 1989. A 623 score is high enough to get a mortgage. Not on it's own however - if your score is that low, it's very possible there are items on your credit report that would dis-qualify you. It is very important to speak to a lender to be Pre-Qualified right away if you are thinking of buying a home. In addition to telling you if you are qualified, they also can advise you on action steps to get your score higher and thus get you a better interest rate and better loan terms.
