can i get a home equity loan in bankruptcy

i have a chapter seven bankruptcy. My home is worth more than the amount of equaty I can keep. The coart says I can keep my home if I geve them the difference 15,000. How do I get a loan? by kissawookiee from Northville, Michigan. Jul 1st 2011 Reply

You would not be able to get a mortgage with a BK. You would have to wait 3 years from the BK. You may be able to find a private lender who can give you the money, but your loan to value needs to be under 65% for them to look at giving you a loan. Good luck!

Please give me a call to discuss the amt etc you would like to borrower. I have private investors that can go up to 90% as long as the property value is there and proof of income is verified. Credit scores are not factored in with my private investors. We lend on Residential owner occupied and non-occupied as well as commercial.. (Mike 703 505 5300)
