Can I change my loan terms once I have closed? For example, if I need to borrow additional amounts?

No you would have to brand new loan. Or depending on equity you may be able to do a helicopter or second mortgage.

Unless you have a first position HELOC, then no.. once your loan is funded, it's locked in.. if you want to borrow more, then you could do one of 2 things.. apply for a 2nd mortgage or HELOC, or you can do a cash out refinance.. either way, you will need to fully qualify, have the home re appraised, and provide all supporting documentation.. Also, if you recently purchased, then some lending guidelines on certain loan products require you wait up to 6 months.. Also certain states have laws that say you cannot refinance until after the 1st year. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. I would suggest contacting your LOCAL mortgage broker as they can advise a HELOC option, depending on property's equity.

Yes, you can refinance your home gerenaly after 6 months. The issue you will face maybe the loan to value; how much equity do you have built up in the home. Jesse Stroup | Mortgage Banker | California NMLS# 6229 | 510-704-3445Please contact me for more information.
