Does the eligible Veteran own any other homes and does he/she intend to occupy it as his primary residence?
The VA loan is restricted to the primary residence of the eligible veteran.
No... If you are buying a house that you won't live in, that is considered a rental property, and the VA loan is for owner occupied homes only. www.VA-IRRRL-Loan_MN.com
VA loans are only for OWNER OCCUPIED qualified veterans.. so if you live in the property with your relative, then you would be ok. If not, then you would not be allowed to use VA financing.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
