I have a credit score of 564, and I have some credit card debt and a car payment which I've been on time for the past 4 months. If I make minimum payments, what are some other ways of repairing my credit to afford a home mortgage? by greg.t_808_914 from Palm Beach, Florida. Jan 3rd 2012
This will depend on why your score is only 564. I would suspect charge offs, collection items are presently effecting your score. You should work with a qualified credit repair company. Should the scores be impacted because of high utilization you would be best to pay your balances down which should resullt in scoring increases. I would recommend that you contact Jacquelne Young at Credit Restoration in Jupiter, FL 561-745-0088. in these regards. Good luck.
Credit scoring is a complicated concept. There are three bureaus of information and each contains different data, scored differently. Mortgage lenders consider the mid-score. When you apply for a mortgage a good mortgage professional will share ways to help you restore your credit score. However, because there are some many variables it is difficult to offer you suggestions here. When you receive a credit score disclosure as required by law it will tell you the four major factors that impacted your score. That should make it easier to implement a plan to raise your score.Nearly every credit agency has rescoring models that will help gauge your ability to raise your score in the short-term as well. Your mortgage professional can help you with this as well. Good luck - acknowledging your need to improve a credit score is a major step in a good direction.
