Are there any banks offering Individual Development Accounts?

I've heard of banks offering to match deposits in order to help people save for a home loan? Any recommendations on these? I am having a hard time finding financial institutions that will offer this. Thank you! by sarah.reynolds513964 from Huntington Beach, California. Jul 10th 2015 Reply

I have not heard of this, but there are many down payment assistance loans and/or grants available which in some cases, can provide the entire down payment as well as closing costs. Please give me a call if you would like information on this. Esta Hoffman Mountain West Financial (707) 328-2864

The IDA program is not offered by banks.. you have to setup a bank account when you apply for the program through the community agency that is sponsoring it.. The bank only holds the funds.. Here's the resource page for IDA. You can type in your state or zip code and get a list of agencies that are participating in the program. https://cfed.org/programs/idas/directory_search/ I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
