If you are talking about buying a tract home, then typically, you only put a deposit down, then once the home is built, you apply for a VA loan.. very easy, and most lenders can help with this type of loan.. But if you are talking about having a custom home built.. then this loan will be Very, very difficult to find using VA.. your better off building your home with 20% down, and then do a VA 100% cash out upon completion.. this would put the initial 20% down funds back into your pocket upon closing.
