It all depends on th final divorce decree and what the judge decides on terms for the divorce regarding the home loan. If you are on the loan then you will be held liable from a credit standpoint until you are refinanced off the loan. If you are just on title then you just have a legal resposibility to the home and not a financial responsibility. Let me know if you need any more guidance on this subject!

If your name is on the note for the mortgage, you must refinance the loan to have your name removed. If your ex-spouse was awarded the home, they must refinance the loan to remove your name. Please contact me if you need assistance with this.Ronald KeenCarnegie Mortgage
