a recent new job overseas and foreign income not yet reported on tax return, any chance to get a refinance under harp 2.0?

My refinancing application got to the underwriting stage, only to get rejected because of my current source of income being foreign and haven't been filed on tax return. My original mortgage is owned by FNMA. I've only been on this new job 3 months since march 2012 and other than paying the quarterly estimated tax, no tax filing has been done. FICO score 746 and never been delinquent on payments. My previous job lasted for about 7 years. Please advise..Thanks, Ray by jjoony_437_570 from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jun 21st 2012 Reply

HARP 2.0 is a full up qualifying with documentation refinance program... so your income has to be documented.. That being said, if you have your 2011 tax returns and current pay stubs, it shouldn't be a problem.. I think what your running into is a lender "Overlay".. Rather than a FNMA guideline... I'm going to guess and say you're probably dealing with your current loan servicer... so the best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL (to your property) mortgage broker, not the local "Big" bank, and certainly not one of those 50 states internet lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Too be honest with you I think I can receive an approval on your loan situation. The main thing would be your letter of explanation detailing the source of income. If you have a letter or some statement showing your projected income that should be sufficient.
